On the south east coast of Gran Canaria near to Maspalomas and Playa Del Ingles lies the often overlooked San Agustin. Due to the popularity of the other nearby resorts, San Agustin has remained a faily quiet and relaxing resort, not overdeveloped and swallowed with hotels and the beaches remain fairly uncrowded. For a resort that is so close to the action but not consumed by it, San Agustin is the place!
San Agustin has a few hotels that all have good services and facilities and are generally more up market than some of the hotels in busier resorts. As with most hotels in Gran Canaria, most of the hotels in San Agustin offer fantastic reviews!
The San Agustin resort is home to lots of classy restaurants and tapas bars where you are guaranteed a tasty meal and a top-notch atmosphere. San Agustin’s atmosphere is full of lively bars which offer a good night out but doesn’t go as far as the crazy clubs of nearby Playa Del Ingles.
San Agustin has lots of attractions to visit, the beach especially is unspoilt and full of soft sand and sparkling sea. If you want culture, there are many Churches around the area that are worth a vist, as the churches of Gran Canaria are beyond belief in their beauty and serenity. Not far from San Agustin there are opportunities for Go-Karting, the Aqua Park, Sioux City and the parrot mad Palmitos Park with lots of interesting birds, animals and fish! If you want a holiday that is laid back in beautiful surroundings with excitement in easy reach, then San Agustin is for you!
